In order to let our community grow, the Staff asks everyone to try and help spread the word about this site so that others will join. This can be done as a link in a signature or a profile, but cannot expand to spamming other sites in order to spread the word. This way, people are more encouraged to join.

At the moment, we only have 8 total people on these boards. We need ideas on how to change this and bring more people in here.

I'm making this thread into a discussion about how we can get more people. Thus, I will change the title of the thread.

Okay, here's all the ideas I have at the moment:

-Make a thread in the Fansites board on the JC

-Invite a specific group to come over here- e.g. some sort of club.

-Come up with something that is unique to this forum- some kind of involved game or something that will attract people. This way it's not just like JC jr.

-Pizza.

The club and unique forum ideas are good ones. However, that's the problem; I can't come up with any ideas right now.

Well, we have an Original Fiction Forum and a Youtube forum. *bounces off to post in both*

I was thinking about adding a Humor forum, and moving the Internet Knights over there as one of the main fixtures. What does everyone think about that?

Well, the "Ask a Pit Droid" game in Humor has been pretty popular, but the Internet Knights haven't been.

Ok, here's a random question, if Google is allowed to put ads here, why can't we make them put ads for us around the place?!

*stabs Google bots*

The ads are there because forumotion needs funding, and since it is a free site, it needs a source of revenue to offset the costs of running the servers and service. So, the ads are a way to make money, and can be used to make even more by having people remove the ads from their board for a fee.

Overall, we need a way to advertise the site.

I know... That doesn't mean I have to like it, though...

I have no idea how we can advertise.

Well, there has to be a way. It's just that we don't know what that method is.

Oh! I know! With the fanfic challenges, we can post our entries on other sites, and say that they were inspired by a challenge here, and give a link!

Well, it's one way, at least.

Edit: What if we made a Pit Droid Fan Club in SWC? That would be cool.

Pit Droids aren't important enough to the saga to earn a Fan Club in the SWC. Nice idea, though.

Matt, have you put us in the Forumotion directory? If you do that then it might be easier for people to find us. You can't really find this place on Google without typing in "pit droid cafe".

I think that the site is in the directory. I'll have to go check.

I hate when free forum servers don't have directories, 'cause then you don't know what it would look like later....
