Episodes 1-3 featured much more intense lightsaber duels than the original Trilogy did. However, some people consider that these duels were too much, and detract from the OT. What do you think? Were the PT duels better than the OT duels?

Well, they were a lot more high-tech than those in the OT. But you have to admit, the lightsaber duels fought in the OT were between old men and a boy who had barely learnt what a lightsaber was, let alone, how to use it. The ones in the prequels were between people who were young-ish, and knew what they were doing.

I like the PT ones better. I especially like the two Yoda duels. It's really quite funny to see him in the OT, then watch Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith and see him jumping around the place like a jack-in-the-box on a sugar high.

I agree; the situations in the lightsaber fights were different in the two trilogies. However, I like the PT duels much more, because they are much more high-tech and interesting.

They were certainly good, but they were a little shorter than I would have expected. However, it took a lot for the actors to do that much, so I applaud them for what they did do.
